The Sea is Rising and So Are We: Climate & Frontline Communities Training

Saturday, Oct 10th, 10:00 am

Miami Workers Center office - 745 NW 54th st, Miami, FL

Join the Miami Workers Center and New Florida Majority and the Miami People's Climate March in a training about the impact of Climate Change on front line communities.

Our communities in Florida know about displacement. Whether economic, political or climate crisis, we have come from other places looking for a better life, yet we find ourselves facing gentrification, education, health and housing inequality, and rising sea levels threaten to accelerate and compound our daily struggles to survive.

Climate change can be found behind everyone one of these crisis - from an increase in the number of refugees to dramatic rises in the cost of living. Not only that, but Miami is at the center of climate change, our city is one of the most threatened and vulnerable when it comes to direct impacts to property and lives.

But there is hope! Coming together with concerned citizens locally, nationally and globally, we can fight for a new green economy that rebuilds our neighborhoods, our cities and transform our way of life.

Join us on Oct 10th to explore how climate change is impacting our communities and the solutions that we can all fight for!

Join us on October 14th for the Miami People's Climate March!
